Privacy policy
What a static record book does and does not collect.
Grailboard is a static site built to collect as little data as possible. We do not run intrusive advertising networks and we do not sell personal information.
What we collect
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be recorded by our host for security and aggregate traffic analysis. If you email the desk, we keep your message and address only to reply and to track a correction through to a fix.
Cookies and analytics
To learn which records people read, Grailboard uses Google Analytics 4 from Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. It captures the pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location at city or country level, device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. With advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation all switched off, the data builds no advertising profile of you and is never sold.
GA4 uses two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, with a lifetime of up to two years. They are written only after analytics has been allowed.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a banner asks first and nothing is sent to Google without a click on Accept. For everyone else analytics runs by default and can be turned off at any time. Browsers sending the Global Privacy Control signal are treated as opted out. The decision lives in your browser's local storage under analytics-consent, not in a cookie. To revisit it, open Cookie settings. Google describes its processing in its privacy policy and offers a Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Any newsletter signup is handled by a third-party email provider and stores only the address you give.
Affiliate links
When you follow an outbound link to a marketplace, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy so a referral can be attributed. We never receive your payment details. See the affiliate disclosure for the full list of programs.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser, change your analytics choice from Cookie settings, and email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted. This page is updated when our practices change.
